Dear SNAFU

http://kirstincronn-mills.com/?cat=68 From the same folder comes this page of letters, apparently destined for a humor magazine. But what was SNAFU? There was a short-lived magazine of that name published by Marvel in 1955 and 1956, but most of the material in this folder is from about ten years later. Was there another one? The Keel files are full of puzzles!

  2. SNAFU was a roneostatted local armed forces “humor” magazine that was going to have Wally Wood provide some art. It came out I think twice or three times than was consigned to oblivion. Pretty sure it was army. Might have been air force but I think it was US Army.

  3. Thanks! I’d never heard of it, but figured some reader out there might have. Maybe it was put out by one of John’s army buddies.
