JOHN KEEL NOT AN AUTHORITY ON ANYTHING

A Letter to Jim and Coral Lorenzen, May 23, 1966

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 7:03 pm

Pontal John replies to Coral’s last letter. He plans to interview “the Milne woman”; does anyone know who that might be? He confesses that he finds himself “acting more and more paranoiac,” and says that Coral Lorenzen’s theory (that aliens plan to put drugs in our water supply) is not as bad as some of the material he’s collected. Jeane Dixon may be less familiar now; she was a popular astrologer and prophet at the time. Mort Young, as mentioned earlier, was a reporter for the New York Journal-American, and author of the book UFO: Top Secret.

  1. I’m guessing the Milne woman is another witness to UFOs or is another silent contactee.I wonder what made John think something big was going to happen back then. Also does John ever name his government source?

  2. I’m just finishing up reading “Flying Saucer to the Center of Your Mind” selected writings of John A. Keel for the 2nd time. Here we are 53 years later, 10 years after Mr. Keel’s passing and no definitive proof or idea what this phenomenon is. Plenty of conventions and merchandise to sell at them but still no “smoking gun”.

  3. I’ll be discussing this–the absence of proof–and other topics, in December on PODCAST UFO.

  4. There’s no physical evidence, but plenty of stories and beliefs! For me, UFOs are best approached as a social phenomenon, as folklore or religion.
