John writes a letter for Jaye to pass on to the entities, asking for proof of their existence.

    Sounds like John was getting quite frustrated with all of it at this point.

  2. I think John took what he wanted from this material for The Mothman Prophecies, after mulling it over for a few years. But it’s fascinating to see how he got there.

  5. Wow. This background is fantastic. Thanks again. Mr. Keel has always been my favorite author on these subjects, and the one I think came closest to the truth. My favorite phrase of his, “there are no ghosts goblins ufo’s or Bigfoot, but there is something, and that something likes to mess with us.” Reading these, it’s clear that he actually went down the rabbit hole. That he got out is evidence of a strong logical mind, many don’t. It also explains why he seemed disillusioned with the whole thing in later years. If there are answers or “truth”, it’s not worth it.

  6. Do you know if there is a Public Domain picture of John Keel?–If so need to use it in a book that I have written-i dedicated the book to his memory and Mothman investigations.
