Thanks for these last two entries. Like many Keel aficionados I’ve practically memorized The Mothman Prophecies, but these synopsis help me remember the details better. There is certainly no question that there was a lot of weirdness going on there at that time. I think Keel (and OK Vallee) are the only two writers to consider that the phenomenon isn’t as simple as it first appears. Good stuff!!

The whole unified theory of the paranormal started with Keel. Maybe it started here with Mothman? Beckjord also took up this concept. But his behavior was too extreme to give it credibility. Valee started as a scientist, and NIDS also tried to reduce it to data collection but imho you dont reach understanding of this thru science and maybe you cant know it at all but only thru experiencing. John experienced, documented, recorded the eyewitnesses. These posts are so valuable.
