John writes Mary Hyre a week after his last letter. He rounds up the latest rumors for her: that he’s a CIA agent, that he was abducted by a UFO. Dan is Dan Drasin, a filmmaker who went to Point Pleasant with John several times; Gray is Gray Barker, fellow ufologist. The trip to Georgia mentioned at the end was to give a talk in Atlanta.

Of course, he did go to W.V. on the way back from Atlanta to NYC and that led to the story he recounted in chapter 1 of Mothman Prophecies.

I’ve said this before so I apologize for saying it again–it’s an eerie feeling to be leaving the Jaye stuff aside for awhile knowing this saga is careening toward the tragic collapse of the Silver Bridge. I’ll be interested in seeing JAK’s notes as we get closer.
