I can’t help but feel like that comment on maconacide is similar to how some conspiracy theorists felt about fluoride.

What, I wonder, was maconacide? I was reminded of the rumor in ’66 and ’67 that hippies would dump LSD in the water supply.

What bugs me is that all of these crazy stories become recycled later on.No one really does research and see where a lot of these crazy conspiracy theories come from.

It was one of the things that made John disenchanted with ufology. In later years, he kept complaining that the same stories were being told again and again.
