Special Cases – The Long Island File (45): So Much for Today’s Mysteries

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 8:03 pm

Lurasidone price We now come to July 24, 1967, in John’s Long Island file. The day for the aliens’ prophecies is approaching, and John’s daily life is only getting stranger. On this day alone, Jaye Paro reports a visit from Agar and another alien, John questions Agar (through Paro), Paro’s mail and drawings are stolen, Harold Serkin (I don’t know who he was) reports on strange phone calls in Washington, D. C., Serkin’s call is interrupted by whistling sounds when John mentions the Pope, Paro gets more baffling messages (Rey vis eug?), and John finds out that a map in his apartment has been altered. We also learn how Agar opens eggs. All of this, as usual, should be taken with a grain of salt (the aliens like salt).

    Thanks, Doug.

  3. I don’t think she plays a big part in the story.

  4. Well, as we know, the Pope was not assassinated, and there were not three days of darkness. John was still bedeviled with weirdness, though.

  5. It’s hard to psychoanalyze somebody 50 years after the fact, but I wonder what Jaye was getting out of all of this. She seems troubled. It seems she wanted John’s attention, obviously, and maybe she thought somehow this might help her radio career.

  6. Thanks for responding Doug.J.P. I do think Jaye was doing this for her radio show but things probably got out of hand.I feel like that she may have gotten herself involved with some cult whose members were trying to stir something up.That’s probably when things started to get out of hand.

  7. Doug, in Mothman Prophecies, Chapter 17, there’s a story about a woman who drives to Ivan Sanderson’s place, from Washington, D.C., who is connected with the Air Force and the Condon Project, and on the way someone in a panel truck followed her, then met up with her at a gas station and later there was putty underneath her car that Ivan speculated may have held wears for an antenna, perhaps removed by the man in the panel truck. Do you know if this woman was perhaps, out of curiosity, Lynn E. Catoe? Keel doesn’t identify her, but she worked in DC, she was going to Ivan’s to read his UFO collection, and her material was read about the Air Force and Condon Committee for review. Are there any notes that you know of on this case?

  8. Yes, that was Lynn Catoe. In his notes, John calls it the Casey Truck incident. There’s more about Catoe later; she too reported strange things happening in her house.

  9. Reading about Lynn Catoe, does anyone happen to have a photo of her or know of one?

  10. Yes, John kept a photo of her. I’ll post it here when he starts writing about her in the notes.

  11. I will be looking forward to more postings about Lynn Catoe and the Casey Truck incident. As a teenager I had joined Ivan Sandersons organization S.I.T.U and visited the HQ in New Jersey in 1976. So, I am curious about which town Lynn stopped in and encountered the “truck driver” who climbed under her car. Also JAK mentions that Ivan Sanderson had encounters with strange people close to his home (?) (MIB?) Do you have any more information about this? Thank you for all your posts.

  12. There’s more material on Lynn Catoe in this file, although he doesn’t go much into the Casey Truck incident. I hadn’t heard about Sanderson having strange visitors, but it makes sense; his farm was a busy place.
