Special Cases – The Long Island File (32): Mysterious Messages

buy generic Pregabalin We continue with John’s raw research notes from 1967. Since Jaye Paro’s contacts had predicted the Pope’s assassination, he clipped a news story on the Pope’s travels. He notes “two mysterious messages” from “the soft-spoken girl,” and another report from Paro. He also wrote a letter detailing some of the phone hoaxes and threats, in case he came to harm. It was addressed “To whom it may concern”; I don’t know if he mailed it to anyone, or simply put it where it could be found. All of this was obviously getting to him.

  1. In light of the Paul Bennewitz affair, John Keel’s experiences make me wonder whether he was the target of a similar NSA / AFOSI campaign, only decades earlier.

The mysterious air force officers he originally said were not genuine officers have subsequently proven to have been AFOSI, acting deliberately weird as one of their mind games. Given that fact, it makes me wonder.

  2. That’s possible. He was also getting questionable information from Jaye Paro, and pranks and hoaxes from other ufologists. And he was also getting reports from people who really had experiences they couldn’t explain. In later years, he thought he might have had some scrutiny from the military because he was poking around places like TNT in Point Pleasant.
