Special Cases – The Long Island File (75): A Letter from Jim Moseley

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 5:35 pm

http://fabcare.com/category/ukrainian-brides-anastasia-2/ John included in the file a letter from “Jim,” who I assume is Jim Moseley. Jim interviewed the Rev. Anthony G. De Polo about his experiences, which include alien contacts, MIB, and strange phone calls.

  1. An interesting letter. I wonder if Rev. De Polo’s daughter ever did that drawing. And there’s always something a little unsettling about men in black stories anyway. Thanks, Doug!

  5. If people are hoaxing, they aren’t likely to admit they have previous knowledge of things others have reported. And isn’t the whole letter suspect, being from Mosley? I think DePolo clammed up when his wife was present, either because she knew it was all a hoax, or she thought it was inappropriate for a minister who needed to be more circumspect. He was hiding his mail from her. Was he paranoid about her opening his mail, and confused, or was she trying to intervene in his shenanigans before they got out of hand? A minister isn’t like a priest. They can be fired by the congregation. He had already had to resign in 1957 from a congregation, maybe she was afraid he’d blow it again. Thanks, Doug

  6. p.s. baby crying and heavy falling (or thunk!) sounds are often associated with sasquatch sightings. The thunk is sometimes described as someone stomping or jumping down heavily. And i have read of it being described as someone falling. It fits into the John’s united field theory of the paranormal, associated across the board with both UFOs and cryptids.

  7. Thanks for the info Patty. That letter from Mosley does higher my suspicions of his involvement in all of this.

  8. Moseley did some hoaxes, but also had a genuine interest in UFOs. He was a puzzle. But yes, it’s best to be suspicious of his reports.

The sound of a crying baby is common in paranormal reports. Many small towns in the US have a “Crybaby Bridge,” where a baby crying is supposedly heard under certain conditions (midnight, no moon, driving backwards, etc.); I once visited one in Henrietta, Oklahoma.
