Special Cases – The Long Island File (72): Vicki Hayes and Joseph Henslik

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 9:26 pm

http://schottremovals.co.uk/wp-content/themes/seotheme/mar.php John records his interactions with Vicki Hayes, a local contactee, and Joseph Henslik, who claimed a visit from the Men In Black. John finds Vicki’s story more credible than Joseph’s; earlier in his notes he says Henslik had admitted a hoax. Gordon Evans wrote for Fate, Flying Saucer Review, and other magazines.

John also notes that Apol/Appell had returned the fourth questionnaire, and transcribes Apol’s red pencil note. Tim’na was Apol’s name for Jaye Paro. I assume “Davis” is Isabel Davis, active in several UFO groups, but it could also be Frank Davis, who showed up now and then in Jaye Paro’s stories.

  1. I find it amusing that JAK referred to Henslik as a ‘meddling kid’ almost exactly two years before Scooby-Doo debuted! He was ahead of the curve, as usual.

  3. You would think that after Joseph John would have questioned everyone else he was talking to.

  5. I think in the last post John mentions that one of his contacts knew Jim Mosley as well? Makes you wonder how involved he was in all this.

  6. It’s obvious now why JAK wasn’t paying too much attention to Point Pleasant and Mothman at this point in 1967, that is, until the terrible tragedy of the Silver Bridge collapse.

  7. I should say his attention was diverted from Mothman by all the Long Island weirdness, most of which seemed to be hoaxes or delusions, unfortunately.

  8. This is just the Long Island file! John also followed the events in Point Pleasant closely, and was in regular contact with Mary Hyre.

  9. That’s a good point, Doug. I should have said he wasn’t physically there as much as he had been earlier in 1967.
