buy provigil online with prescription We have here the next excerpt from John’s “Special Cases” file, his investigation of contactees in Long Island in 1967. Jaye Paro has already had an unsettling encounter with a strange woman in a library and a clothing store, and now meets her again. She also has her first encounter with Mr. Apol. All of this was eventually incorporated into Chapter 15 of The Mothman Prophecies. This is a fuller account, including Apol’s odd questions to Jaye.

John states here that he thinks she’s telling the truth, but expresses reservations elsewhere in his files.

  1. Several possibilities about ‘avoiding iodine.” One is a thyroid problem; the other is acne. Iodine is said aggravate acne; at least that was common wisdom in the 60s.

Also, I wonder why Keel chose to spell “Apol” they way he did if she heard it pronounced “apple?”

  2. John had several notes purportedly from Apol; the name was spelled in different ways, including Appell and Apal. I guess he just picked one.

  3. I wonder why he asked to be taken to the fire department?

  4. Doug – One question I had about Apol. IN the books, John made some vague comments about him (melting away to his cheshire smile (IIRC)). There may have been another comment that led me to believe Apol was sick. Do you know what happened to this character?

  5. Graham — I don’t remember him melting away. John later carried on an interesting correspondence with him, always through Jaye Paro. I think he was either fabricated or channeled by Paro.

  8. Thanks for posting this. The entire Jaye Paro story is the best description of High Strangeness I have ever read.
