Well, I don’t know if Jim Lorenzen was an expert! John sent out the report to his fellow researchers, and this was one of the responses.

I’ve always wondered about that “wire” detail. It DOES sound as if a very human thing, though, like a sock-warmer. I might look into that…with every aspect of history now on the Web….
