JOHN KEEL NOT AN AUTHORITY ON ANYTHING

John Keel’s ABSM FIle

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 10:22 pm

Bedworth John kept a folder marked “ABSM” (that is, “Abominable Snowman,” an abbreviation favored by fortean and naturalist Ivan T. Sanderson). It mostly contains clippings and photocopies of clippings, in the fortean tradition. There are also these four small hand-written pages of American sightings, apparently copied from Sanderson’s files. I don’t know how many of them have been repeated in the voluminous Bigfoot/Sasquatch literature, but some may be unfamiliar.

  1. Hi, Doug. Thanks a lot for these pages.
It’s funny to see a “weird hair covered creature” near Braxton County, home of the Flatwood “Monster”.

  3. Glad you enjoyed them. Actually, it might be funny if weird creatures were NOT seen in Braxton County!

  5. I think these were taken from Sanderson’s files. As usual, though, John is interested in the sightings that don’t fit the usual “Bigfoot” story.

  6. Yep very much so! One can not help being drawn towards weird things like that. It’s all absolutely fascinating to say the least!
